Q: How long have you been a realtor, and why did you enter the industry?
A: I got my license three years ago to help Victoria with open houses. I have learned a lot from her. I feel like I’ve been doing it longer as I have been married to a realtor for 20 years.
Q: What motivates you the most?
A: I enjoy working hard to help our clients as they enter their new chapter in life. Assisting people to buy or sell their home is a very personal experience. I am motivated by family and friends, and pets in my personal life. My pets never give me a break.
Q: What is your favorite part of the job?
A: Key day is always a big day, but I think I prefer the entire process. Learning the client’s needs, looking at houses, and finding the perfect home are all aspects of the job I really enjoy.
Q: What do you do when you’re not working at Amare?
A: I like to garden and paint. I also do whatever my wife and dogs tell me to do.
Q: What sports teams do you follow?
A: I am originally from Los Angeles, so it’s the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers. I didn’t pay any attention to hockey until I moved to the Bay Area so I root for the Sharks, but it has been hard to watch them lately. I like to watch the Warriors play, but I hate the Giants. Sorry.
Q: Favorite movies?
A: Good Fellas. Harold and Maude. You can learn a lot about someone by watching Harold and Maude with them.
Q: Favorite TV shows?
A: I don’t watch much TV-usually it’s on in the background. If I have one guilty pleasure it’s Below Deck. Mostly, I watch YouTube. I’ve learned some gardening and cooking tips and I’ve improved in both
Q: Pets?
A: Oliver, Penny, Abby, and Leon, 2 yellow labs and 2 tabby cats
Q: What social media do you use most regularly?
A: I’m not the best at social media. I check Facebook daily, but I don’t post often. I’m working on it though. I went on Instagram for the first time last week.
Q: What was the last book your read?
A: A biography of Walt Disney
Q: Favorite outdoor activities?
A: Hiking, walking the dogs, going to the beach and Disneyland.
Q: If you could have any car, what would you get and why?
A BMW IX, an all-electric SUV. Black.
Q: What would be your ultimate vacation?
A: This would make Vic crazy, but I would like to visit every Disney Park worldwide. She, however, keeps talking about “Europe” and the “Maldives.”
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be?
A: My dad
Q: What are some of the customer service things you’re proud of at Amare, and describe your view of exceptional customer service?
A: Victoria opened Amaré because she wanted to provide a different Real Estate experience for both our clients and agents. She had worked for a few larger brokerages and felt something was missing. She had a vision. Amaré means “to love”, and to us, it’s not just a clever name. Everything we do at Amaré is based on love – love for what we do and love for our people. Exceptional service is our standard.
